Grandma Trujeque ~
This past weekend Frank and I had brunch at the restaurant down by the waterfront. You were right, food was good and the view was nice - thank you for telling us about that place.
Friday's date night and NYE dinner at Yukimi's will not be the same but I know you will always be with us.
It's moments like this that will be hard but I know I have to have faith and believe that you are in a better place and you are no longer in pain.
I will miss our chit chats.
I will hold on to the memories of our family trips and of course listening to mexican or country music while cleaning.
I will be playing your favorite game at the casinos this weekend.. wish me luck!
You are now our guardian angel. Please watch over us.. love and miss you .. xoxo

Alma, this is so hard for me to put in words. I am so thankful that i share so many memories with you. I have many firsts with you, from my first margarita to my first birthday party. You threw me a surprise party with a stripper and everything! It was such a big surprise and your brother was so mad! You had to cool him off with the entire margarita pitcher! We both baptized each other's daughters, that made us comrades. But we were more than that, you told me that i was your sister. Not your sister in law, your sister. That was very true to me, we acted like real sisters! We were so young you taught me so much, how to cook, how to clean, and how to love no matter what happens in life. You were there when i needed you most. When i went into labor and i needed to be taken to oakland all the way from santa clara. We got lost a few times but that was a real adventure with Gracie, Luli, Andy, and even Cano, pretty much the whole family was there! Not only did you take me you stayed and help my hand until she was born, you didn't let go until you fainted. You were there even when Anita graduated from the army. I thought i couldn't make it because i didn't have the money but you made sure i could be there. You payed for that whole trip! Thank you for being so strong. I don't know what i would've done without you. You made it all seem so easy, i will never forget that. I wish i could share all the memories we have together but i'd be talking forever. Wow, I could never explain how grateful i am for you. Thank you so much. When i take my walks in the morning i use that time to talk to you. You will always be with me in more ways than one. I love you Alma!

First of all, I want to THANK all of you that have taken the time to express such kind words about my Sister Alma.
Alma was unique and amazing in many ways and I will share some of my memorable and priceless moments with you.
During my visits to CA while serving in the Military and residing in Texas, Alma's house was a MUST to visit because of her warm welcome, delicious cooking (Chili Rellenos and Arroz con Leche) and upbeat presence.
During her and Dave's visit to San Antonio, Alma was immediately liked by the neighbors, my in-laws and even the mariachi's during our special dinner all because of her special personality and instant bonding.
Alma has the biggest HEART that any person can imagine. She loved being a mother and displayed that by baptizing many of our sons and daughters to include my daughter Rachel. While Alma had the daycare, it was very obvious that Mis Alma was LOVED, RESPECTED and TRUSTED by the children and parents.
I am very SAD to announce that Raquel, Junior and I will not be physically present at the Mass, Celebration of Life or the Reception, but we will be there spiritually and we will "pay our respects" at the same time, thousands of miles away.
TRUJEQUE Family, we are gonna MISS Alma SO DEERLY and I shed a tear daily knowing she left ALL of us too soon.......

God saw her getting tired, and a cure was not to be.
He wrapped her in his loving arms and whispered
"come with me"
She suffered much in silence, her spirit did not bend.
She faced her pain with courage, until the very end.
She tried so hard to stay with us but her fight was not in vain,
God took her to His loving home and freed her from the pain.
- A dear sister-in-law & dear friend -
our personal talks and conversations will forever be stored in my heart.

We met Alma through daycare, she had been watching our Devyn for the past 2 years. The moment I met her I just knew this is where my daughter will be going to daycare. She had such a loving and kind heart, and grew to be like a grandma figure to Devyn. I've spent countless hours talking with Alma throughout these years talking and laughing about life, love, and happiness. I'll always hold these conversations close to my heart. I feel beyond blessed to have had this time getting to know her. Alma - Thank you for taking care of Devyn as your own. We will never forget all that you have done for us. You are truly missed, we love you.

Alma was such a wonderful person. We knew her through her day care and she took care of all three of our boys and loved them deeply. It saddens us to hear of her passing but she has left her mark on our lives for a lifetime with her loving guidance of our children, the friendship we shared as parents and being a member of her extended family. Alma will be missed by our whole family. Prayers for your family in this time. Lovingly, Carol & Dan Schuett and family
