I have only known Al a few years, usually enjoying his stories and exchanging stories on our home town of Oakland over coffee at Main Street Donuts. No doubt Al was a great husband, father, grand father and military man with love for his family and country.
I don't look at it so much as an there being an empty seat at our coffee table, but I see it as Al is scouting a good place for coffee and stories when it becomes our time to join him. Rest in Peace my friend.
