Daniel DeRuyter, Jr.
February 21, 1943 ~ August 15, 2017 (age 74) 74 Years OldShare Tribute:
Daniel DeRuyter entered into rest on August 15, 2017 in Ripon, Ca. He was born in Torrance, Ca. on February 21, 1943 to the late Daniel & Madeline DeRuyter.
Mr. DeRuyter, "Danny," is survived by his loving family; wife of 53 years, Judy; children Annette DeRuyter (Kenny), Cathaleen Machado and Troy DeRuyter (LeeAnn). He was blessed by eight grandsons; Richie (Jenna), Ryan (Kelly), Randal, and Riley Machado, Matthew Ribeiro, Joseph, Gerrit and Jacob DeRuyter, and two great-grandchildren whom he adored, Kylee and Jacob. Additionally, Daniel is survived by one brother, Cornie DeRuyter (Terry).
Daniel was born into the dairy world where his father and his father’s father both owned dairies. Naturally Daniel continued the family legacy by owning and operating DeRuyter’s Dairy. For Daniel, a day on the dairy was never complete without his faithful companions Butch and Abby who were always at his side. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and MRPS. He enjoyed traveling, family dinners, watching his children’s and grandchildren’s activities and socializing with friends. Daniel’s huge heart never went unnoticed as he loved spoiling his wife and family. Daniel will be remembered for his impeccable work ethic and his grin which would light up the room.
P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the DeRuyter family. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and followed by a rosary/vigil service at 7:00 p.m. at P.L. He will be laid to rest at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a "Memorial Donation" in his name to JDRF International at www.2.JDRF.org.
