David August Lagomarsino, 76, entered into rest on July 16, 2017 in Sacramento, CA. He was born on November 5, 1940 in French Camp, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents; August Lagomarsino and Anna Thompson, wife; Linda Holloway Lagomarsino, and sister; Charlene Thompson.

Mr. Lagomarsino is survived by his children; Randy Lagomarsino (Kim) and Dina Meylink (Jim). He was blessed by three grandchildren; Ryan Lagomarsino (Stacia), Morgan Lagomarsino and Aaron Meylink and one great-granddaughter Isabella Jo Lagomarsino. In addition, David is survived by three sisters; Elaine Smith Bright, Lynette Haley, Charlotte Rowe and longtime family friend, Guy Nelson. 

David graduated from Franklin High School where as a member of the FFA he became friends with Allen Holloway. The Holloway family loved and embraced David as their own. David fell in love with Allen's sister, Linda, and they were married on July 15,1960 in Stockton, CA. He and his wife moved to Manteca in 1971 where they raised their children; making Manteca their home for over 26 years. As a Purchasing Manager, David retired after 50 years of service from Fiberboard/Dopaco in Stockton. He enjoyed the outdoors; camping and motor sports were some of his favorites. Through the years David had an extraordinary green thumb; planting beautiful flowers and sharing his homegrown fruits and vegetables with friends and family. He loved going on day trips with his late wife and visiting local yard sales. David never lost site of the importance of family as he unconditionally loved and supported his children and grandchildren. One of his favorite pastimes was attending his grandchildren's activities. Never meeting a stranger; David enjoyed a great conversation, always connecting with people on a personal level. David will be remembered for his optimistic and humble nature, his witty sense of humor and his zest of life. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Lagomarsino family. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 30, 2017 3pm-5pm held at P.L .Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca. A celebration of life will be on Monday July 31, 2017 at 10am also held at P.L. Fry & Son. He will be laid to rest with his beloved wife at Parkview Cemetery.
