Doris Quaresma – Swanson, 84, entered into rest on August 13, 2017 in Manteca, Ca. She was born number  13 of 14 children to the late Theodore and Katharina Fode on January 31, 1933 in Brockway, Montana.  She spent her childhood years in Victor, Ca. attending schools in the Victor/Lodi area, before marrying and moving to Manteca in 1950.   In heaven, she joins her first husband of 38 years George Quaresma, her second husband John Swanson and her daughter Sandy Quaresma.

Doris is survived by her loving children; Pam Yamasaki (Carl), Pat Dutra (Tony) and George Quaresma (Sandra). She was blessed by 9 grandchildren; Brandi Nussbaumer, Michael Loureiro, Christi Peters, Deanna Chavez, Joshua Dutra, Aaron Quaresma, Lisa McIntyre, Steven Quaresma and Sierra Fletcher and 12 great-grandchildren. Additionally, Doris is survived by one brother Duane Fode.

Doris retired from Manteca unified school district mainly working as an aide at Sequoia School; Doris also worked at Manteca Christian Book Store in Manteca. She was a devout Christian where she continually shared the gospel to her children and grandchildren. After Doris’ husband George passed away, she attended grief counseling where she swiftly became a volunteer, counseling both men and woman and making house visits; genuinely caring about the wellbeing of each widower. Doris was a wonderful homemaker, always having dinner on the table each night, always ultra-organized; keeping everything perfect and tidy. Doris will be remembered for her caring heart and her helpful attitude towards others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
