I recently found out that Mrs. Thissen had past.
Although it's been years, I have very fond memories,
I don't think I've ever seen Doris
outside the kitchen or on a catering job where a few times she gave me a job.
All my thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
Especially my heart goes out to you Carol.

Such a sweet and kind soul! Our condolences to the family. We are so sad to hear about your loss. May God Bless each of you until you meet Doris again in your Heavenly home. She truly loved her family from deep within her heart, and she was a great example to all. A true child of God.. Peace be with her and all of you.

Dear sweet Doris, you may have been small in stature but you have the biggest heart of anyone I have known. Your imagination and talent with your artwork amazed everyone. How you could turn a gourd or a rock into beauty or whimsy and you ran a kitchen and cooked for 1500 people for the Church Christmas bizarre for years. I’m so happy you enjoyed your travels to Alaska, Hawaii, Pismo and many other places. God is smiling and the angels are singing as our tears are flowing knowing we won’t have you hear with us. Jeanne and I will be meeting you on the beach in Heaven picking up driftwood and shells again. You left a legacy of wonderful memories for me and my family. Love you my friend.

Dear Thissen Family: I am so sorry for your loss. Your Mom was a petite lady full of enormous energy and desire to give to others. Her years of service at St Anthony's school will forever be remembered by many students and their parents. Doris and Lee were the Best !
