Dorothy Gore

Dorothy Jane Gore, 95, entered into rest surrounded by her family on March 23, 2024. She was born December 1, 1928 to John and Lillian Green in Toledo, OH. In heaven Dorothy joins Robert, her loving husband of 59 years.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillian Green; her brother and sister in law, Eugene and Joyce Green; and her son David Gore.

She leaves behind her daughter; Carol Graves and her husband Jim, son; Robert Gore (Kathy) and  daughter; Mary Gore all of Manteca. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Robert and David Buker, Heather Meseke (Chris),  and Justin Gore (Heather).  In addition she was blessed with two great grandchildren, Katarina and Kaley; and many nieces and nephew that loved her dearly.   

Dorothy was a long time Manteca resident. She was a homemaker most of her life and her dedication to her family was unwavering. She was a faithful member of United Lutheran Church and in her younger years she dedicated herself to many ministries. She was also the last surviving Vietnam gold star mom in Manteca.  Sharing her time with others was her greatest joy. She loved spending time with her children and trying new restaurants. She loved her grandchildren dearly and held a special place in her heart for each one of them. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt and for her immense love of the Lord. She will be deeply missed.

P.L. Fry is honored to serve the Gore family. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 20th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at United Lutheran Church, 649 Northgate Drive, Manteca. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to United Lutheran Church in memory of Dorothy.
