Hedy entered into rest on July 4, 2017, at the age of 93.  She was born in Schwyz, Switzerland to Maurus and Anna Reichmuth and was the youngest of seven children.  The  Reichmuth family came to America in 1929 when she was 5 years old. Hedy grew up and attended school in Pleasanton.  She moved to Manteca in 1944 when she married the late Frank Albert. She is survived by Pat (Frank) Gwerder of Elk Grove, Barbara (Don, deceased) Chiapale of Stockton, and Frank (Linda) Albert of Manteca.  Hedy had four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In 1988, she moved to Modesto when she married the late Ernie Burgi. She is also survived by step children Nancy (Jim) Olson of Oregon, Karen (Conrad) Grass of San Francisco, Ernie Burgi of Modesto, and Kathy (Hayden) Smith of Redwood City.  She has seven step grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husbands, Frank Albert and Ernie Burgi, and her siblings Albert Reichmuth, Annie Riebli, Paul Reichmuth, Martha Lucia, Ida Felder, and Mark Reichmuth.

Hedy was a homemaker and worked for the Manteca Unified School District for 26 years as the School Secretary at New Haven School.  She was a member of the San Joaquin Valley Swiss Club in Ripon, Aelpler Grupee in Newark, the Manteca Historical Society, and the Manteca Hospital Auxiliary.
