Jacob (Jake) Espinoza was born in San Francisco, CA 54 years ago.  He entered into eternal rest in S.F the city he loved, on March 15, 2017. 

Jacob was preceded in death by his father Jake Espinoza, beloved grandparents Dionicio & Mercedes Cruz & Anselmo & Inez Espinoza.

He is survived by his mother Angie (Cruz) Espinoza, brother Tom (Christine) Espinoza, nephews Matthew Moreno (Gissele), Gabriel Espinoza, great niece & nephew Rihanna Sosa & Brandon Moreno and many beloved aunts, uncles & cousins.  Jacob grew up in San Francisco however,  he considered Manteca his second home and visited his mother,  Aunt Mary, Uncle Cres  and other family members every other weekend.  Jacob loved all his family unconditionally – he was the conduit that kept his extended family informed.

Jacob graduated from ICE (1976) & Sacred Heart Cathedral High School (1980).  He was a member of the: Manteca Moose Lodge, NRA, Northern CA Veterans Boxers Assoc.  He was an avid fan of NASCAR & the 49er’s.  Jacob’s employer   What  A Tomato, raced the world champion top alcohol hydro boat “What A Tomato”,  Jacob loved the thrill of the boat races. 

Jacob will be remembered for his zest of life and his great loving heart.  He will always be fondly remembered by family and friends.

P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Espinoza family. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a rosary/vigil at 7:00 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca, Ca. A Mass will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church 525 E. North St. Manteca, Ca. He will be laid to rest at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jake’s memory to the Sacred Heart Cathedral Scholarship Fund. 1055 Ellis St. San Francisco, Ca 94109. An online guest book is available for condolences to the family at www.plfryandson.com
