Leonard “Ray” Grever, 77, entered into rest surrounded by his loving wife on April 4, 2024 in Modesto. He was born February 21, 1947.
Ray leaves his adored wife and best friend of 57 years Pat Grever of Manteca; his brother David Grever and wife Cindy; Julie Tuck whom he considered a daughter and her husband Randy, their children; Brittany and Kaitlyn Tuck, his cousins Gail and Joe Freer and Debbie Sparks and extended family he loved dearly.
Leonard known as Ray to his family and friends grew up in Escalon. He attended Escalon High and graduated in the class of 1965. He dedicated over 20 years working for Hogan Steel Manufacturing in Escalon before eventually retiring. He was a faithful member of First Assembly of God Church, where he served as deacon. He would also serve as youth leaser and Sunday school teacher at his church in Lathrop. Ray was a true servant of God. In his down time he enjoyed spending time in Pine Crest, fishing and camping. Especially alongside his wife Pat and his dog Benji. He loved to joke and his kind, graceful spirt made everyone gravitate towards him. He loved his wife dearly and the shared a true testimony of love. Ray will be remembered as a loving husband and friend. He will deeply be missed.
