Rosemary E. Marty, 86, entered into rest on June 9, 2017 in Escalon, Ca. She was born on July 3, 1930 in San Francisco, Ca. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Marty, son Paul, and her parents Joseph Interbitizin and Rose Marie Dolder.

Rosemary is survived by her sons Robert Marty (Debbie)and Philip Marty. She was blessed by three grandchildren; Alicia Lopez (Matthew), Landon Marty (Crystal) and Inga Marty and one great Grandchild Reese Lopez. In addition, Rosemary is survived by one sister, Rita Dahlbeck, 2 nephews, one niece and 2 great nephews.

Rosemary was born and raised in San Francisco and moved to Manteca in 1974. She was a graduate of St. Anthony’s Grammar School and Immaculate Conception Academy in San Francisco. She was an active board member for many organizations including: Immaculate Conception Academy Alumni; past Secretary and member of Swiss Gymnastics Club; past President and Vice-President of Swiss American Women’s Society; member of Swiss Holiday Club, Officer and member of El Camino High School Booster Club Officer and member of Parkway Junior High School; life member and former President of San Joaquin Valley Swiss Club and life time charter member for the National World War II Memorial. She also wrote as a columnist for 50 years for the Swiss Journal newspaper that was published in the United States and Europe. She retired from Manteca Unified School District after 18 years of service.

Rosemary was an avid 49er fan who loved gardening, Swiss events, Swiss dancing, spending time with her family, longtime friends and her beloved dog, Barney.

P.L. Fry and Son is honored to be serving the Marty family.  A prayer service will be on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. held at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca, Ca. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband and son on Monday, June 19, 2017 10:00 a.m. at Golden Gate National Cemetery – San Bruno, Ca.
