March 1, 1926 ~ April 22, 2024 (age 98) 98 Years Old

Tribute

Theresa Constance Silveira Azevedo was born March 1, 1926, in Ripon, on Elsholz Road, where her family owned a dairy. Affectionately known as Teri in her early years, Theresa spent her time with near and far relatives, and was particularly fond of house parties. Theresa married Henry Azevedo, Jr., on February 9, 1947. They were married for 45 years, and had 3 children.

In addition to helping with the ranch in Ripon (where she was born), Theresa was very creative in the kitchen and loved music. Theresa and Henry were wonderful dancers. Her favorite song was 'Sentimental Journey. Another favorite pastime was gardening, as her wonderful gardens attest. The couple loved to travel, typically with other relatives. Summer vacations were the highlight of the year for their family.

She will be missed by her children, Albert Azevedo (wife Joanne) and Adeline Rosemire (husband Mike), and daughter-in-law Susan Azevedo (Alvin); as well as a loving family: grandchildren Tim Azevedo, Lisa Carlin (husband Mark), and Mike Azevedo (wife Shannon); 8 great grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren; as well as in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many dance club friends. Preceding her in death was her husband, Henry Azevedo, Jr; and their son, Alvin Azevedo; as well as Theresa's brothers and sister, Mary Orique, and Tony, Peter, and Joaquin Silveira.

Funeral arrangements were made through Fry & Sons, Manteca. A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 2nd at 11:00AM St Patrick's Church/St John's Cemetery, 19399 Highway 120 and Carrolton, Ripon.
