Winona Kay Holmes, 50, entered into rest on March 20, 2017 in Modesto. She was born on December 26, 1966 in Oakland; CA. Winona is preceded in death by mother Carol Hursell and daughter Angelica Holmes.

She leaves behind her children; Allura Holmes, Arieall Holmes, Adrianna Holmes, Robert Holmes Jr., Angela Algandar, Amanda Figeroa  and step children Rayleen, Marc and Josh Figeroa. She was blessed many grandchildren. She leaves behind her siblings, her sister Kiona Fitch and her husband Mike and Beau Hursell and wife Darla.

Winona was a Merced resident, she was raised in Tracy and in Livermore in her younger years before making home in Manteca. Winona was American Indian and was ever so proud of her native roots. She was the momma wolf to al her siblings, as she cared for them as her own. She never passed judgement, instead build your spirt and help you in every way possible. She adored her family more than words can say and was so proud of all of her children. She will be remembered as a loving mother, cherished grandmother, an amazing sister and wonderful friend to many. She will be deeply missed.
