Alfred Holmes Alexander Sr. passed away, at home, with his loving wife, Naomi “Tiny” Alexander (nee Brock) by his side, on April 10, 2021. Born in Ceres, California on February 15, 1933, his family moved to Stockton, Ca. where he attended school. He joined the Army and was assigned to the 7th infantry division and served in the Korean War, receiving a Bronze Star with Valor, along with other awards. He returned to Stockton and married Blanche “Judy” Wolff and had three children. They moved to Lathrop, CA. in 1963.
Alfred attended Delta College and worked as a Deputy Sheriff for San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department. He left that job after an injury and returned to his prior employment with Carando’s Machine Works in Stockton, Ca. where he worked for over 40 years. He served on the Lathrop Water Board. He was a member of American Legion and a Veteran of Foreign Wars.
He enjoyed going to the Senior Center in Lathrop and after his wife, Judy, passed in 2008, he met Naomi and they were married in 2010. In his youth, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening and skiing. Later, he enjoyed going out to eat and to the casinos.
He is preceded in death by, his parents: Opal and George, his wife: Blanche “Judy” Wolff, brother: Lyle Alexander and a sister Margo Holacher.
He is survived by his wife: Naomi “Tiny” Alexander, sisters: Nellie June Torres and Sallie Warner, his three children: Alfred Alexander Jr. (Bonnie), Crystel Bianchi (Robert) and Cindy Angeli (Jeffery). And Naomi’s children: Robert Malicoat (Robin), Peggy Graham (Robert), Tina Godsoe (Bill) and Toby Malicoat. Along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
