December 21, 1919 ~ November 15, 2018 (age 98) 98 Years Old

Tribute

Alice Widmer, 98, entered into rest on November 15, 2018 in Modesto, Ca. She was born, the youngest of 10 children, on December 21, 1919, in Ferndale, Washington, to the late Frank and Anna Imhof. Alice joins her husband in Heaven, Joseph Widmer and her great-granddaughter, Aspen Adams.

Mrs. Widmer is survived by her 5 children; Joe Widmer, Don Widmer (Kim), Kathy Baroni (Allen), Julie Adams (Rick) and Shirlee Gallego (Sam). She was blessed with 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Alice was a homemaker who, throughout the years, took great pride and joy in tending to her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a long-time member of The Good Shepherd Mission Church in French Camp and a member of San Joaquin Valley Swiss Club. Alice enjoyed dancing, cooking, baking, playing cards and socializing with friends and family. She absolutely loved receiving visitors at her home, where she never let anyone go home hungry. Alice will be remembered as the matriarch of the family, a truly devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Widmer family. All services are being held privately. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at East Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The Swiss Club P.O. Box 373 Ripon, Ca. 95366 or The Good Shepherd Mission Church, 305 E. French Camp Road, French Camp, Ca. 95231.
