Barbara Aites

Barbara JoAnn Jamison Aites, 83, passed away on February 6th, 2021 at The Commons in Manteca, CA.  She was born in Modesto, CA to Frank Jamison and Lena Jamison Paioni on April 15, 1937.  She graduated from Modesto High School in 1955 and continued her education at Modesto Junior College and went on to earn a degree from CSU Sacramento.  She became a teacher and taught at the elementary school level in the Sacramento area for 30 years before retiring.  Barbara, known affectionately as Bobbie, loved to travel and visited several countries around the world making many friends along the way.  Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed.  Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband Harry Ervin Aites.  She is survived by her sisters Eleanor Vierra (John) and Debra Jamison and brothers Williami Paioni and Donald Paioni.  She is also survived by her longtime best friend Jane Mickus and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at P.L. Fry and Son Mortuary at 290 N Union Rd, Manteca, CA on Wednesday February 17th  from 10 AM to 12:30 PM.  A graveside service will be at 1 PM at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery at 17871 Carrolton Rd and Hwy 120, Escalon, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bristol Hospice Foundation, 2800 W March Lane, Suite 110, Stockton, CA 95219 or a charity of your choice.
