Bernard J. Sheen, 80, entered into rest July 20, 2017 in Stockton. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on June 6th, 1937 to the late Walter and Agnes Marie Sheen.He is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Donna Sue Sheen and his twin brother William Sheen.
Bernard leaves behind his children, Robert Sheen (Janis) of Stockton, Judy Rouse of Auberry, Janet Sheen of Clovis and Diane Sheen of Auberry. He was blessed with five grandchildren, Nicholas Stout, Jordan Stout, Julie Rouse, Christy Rouse and Tyler Sheen. In addition he has one surviving sibling Joan Rubalcava (Isaac) of San Jose.
Bernard was a Manteca resident for over 50 years. He served his country proudly through the United States Marine Corps as a member of the 1st Recon Battalion. He would continue his career in the government as a Quality Assurance Specialist.
He raised his young family in Pico Rivera, before making their home in Manteca. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Church, where all his children attended school. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
He lived life like a true Marine; regimented and honorable. He loved his family dearly and his dog Rusty. He will be remembered for his love to his country, his hard work and dedication and for being a great husband, father and grandfather.
P.L. Fry is honored to serve the Sheen family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 4:00pm to 8:30pm with a Rosary at 7:00p.m. at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. Mass will be at 11:00am on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 East North Street, Manteca. He will be laid to rest at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, 17871 S. Carrolton, Road, Escalon (behind St. Patrick’s Church).
