Candida Grissom

Candida Jean Grissom, 80, entered into rest on June 4. 2021 in Manteca, Ca. She was born on December 14, 1940 in French Camp, Ca. She is preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Candida Vierra.

Ms. Grissom is survived by her children; Jewell Wyrsch (Louie), Nyla Stone (Douglas), Larry Grissom (Naomi) and John Snyder (Janette), siblings; Eugene Vierra Jr., Robert Vierra and Rose Jensen. In addition “Grandma Candy” was blessed by 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Candida was a resident of Manteca for over 60 years. While raising her children she worked for Tri-Valley Growers in Modesto as a seasonal employee, she was a 30-year Teamsters member before she retired. Candida was a simple woman who was easily pleased by spending quality time with family. She truly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren unconditionally. She will be remembered for her strong-willed spirit and her love she displayed towards her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
