Carlos Melongo

Carlos A. Melongo, 58, passed away on June 9, 2019 in Modesto, California. Carlos was born in Angola, Africa on February 16, 1961.  Carlos is preceded in death by his father, Carlo. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Carolin; his mother, Francesca, and three sisters: Carla Carreno of Petaluma, Angie Rodriguez (Carlos) of Half Moon Bay and Teresa Sutton (Nate) of Sebastopol. Carlos is also survived by two step children, 4 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.  Carlos was a true family man and adored his nieces and nephews, Danny, Armando, Lenis, Stephanie, Megan, Ty and Gavin.

 Carlos moved to the United States from Angola, Africa at the age of 12. Sports was a huge part of his life, Carlos played semi-pro soccer for the Napa Sport and Lusitanios North Bay Soccer. His idea of the perfect day was to lay on the couch and watch his favorite sports teams, the Raiders and Giants, and any soccer game that was on TV. Carlos was an amazing cook and loved to cook at family gatherings. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
