I will always remember Carmen from a time long ago when I was growing up in South City with her son, Bob, who was like a brother to me for many years.
When I think of her, I think of a smiling, funny and energetic Mom who was a big Tom Jones fan. She was such a fan that she had a picture of him (shirtless) framed and sitting on a table in the front room of her house.
She always showed a lot of concern for Bob, which turned out to be wasted on him because he was always a little angel who never did anything dangerous or unusual. Well, maybe he did some weird things a couple times. Maybe more. I really don't remember anything from the sixties or seventies.
Back in those days I didn't know enough to appreciate the difficulty it must have been for Carmen to raise two sons and two daughters, but as I can see now, she somehow managed to do it and live a long life with a loving family.
A lot of time has passed since I'd seen her and we all had since gone in different directions. I'm glad to have been a small part of her life and will always remember her as a caring and loving person. May she rest in peace.
I'm sorry for your loss, Bob, Diane, Sandra and Ron. Take care.

Rick Thanks for reminding us of those memories. So kind of you to share your memories of our amazing mother. She never stopped smiling or laughing. She was a most beautiful soul.
