Born on June 9, 1949, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Carol Franscella, passed away on February 7, 2024. She was a resident of Ripon, graduating from Ripon High in 1967.
She is she is survived by her devoted of husband of 53 years, John Franscella, her son, Jamie Franscella, her five beloved grandchildren - Tessa, Nina, Maya, Sophia, and Gerard, as well as her brother, Andrew Vanderweide. She is preceded in death by her beloved son Jason Franscella.
Carol dedicated over 25 years to a fulfilling career in media services at Modesto Junior College. She was a cherished member Crossroads Grace Community Church, finding peace and inspiration in Pastor Brian's sermons.
A fun-loving competitor at heart, Carol found joy in engaging in a game of cards with her friends or grandchildren and was an avid participant in three bowling leagues each week. Her love for playing darts led her to an impressive second-place win in the world dart competition in Las Vegas during the early 2000s.
In the early years, Carol eagerly anticipated her annual Mexico trips with family and friends, creating lasting memories. She was a devoted fan of the 49ers and looked forward to the excitement of the Super Bowl this year.
Known for her fun-loving, bubbly, and outgoing personality, Carol brought joy to all who knew her. Her friendly and respectful nature drew her to many friends.
Carol's memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

All services will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 an open graveside service will be at 11am at St. John's Cemetery, then at Noon at P.L. Fry and Son Chapel 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, Ca. for the Memorial services, followed by a 1pm Celebration of Life at Ripon VFW Post 1051, 12455 W. Ripon Rd., Ripon.
