Tribute

Clyde A. Marain, 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and children, on September 29, 2019 in Manteca, California. He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Joyce and two children Brian (Alea) Marain and Kimberly (Brian) Densmore both of Manteca. Clyde was blessed with five grandchildren, Ashlea (20), Talan Kai (14), Damian (10), Taya Leanne (9), and Tylie Sage (7). He is preceded in death by his siblings Wayne and Carolyn and survived by his brother Buddy and sisters Mary Jo and Brenda.

Clyde is a Veteran of the Vietnam War who served in the 101st Airborne Division, Screaming Eagles. As a Radiotelephone Operator (RTO), he earned several badges and medals including The Sharpshooter Badge, The Combat Infantryman Badge, The Army Commendation Medal, and the Bronze Star Medal.  Clyde completed his service in the United States Army as a Sergeant. He was a lifetime member of the AMVETS and the Ripon VFW.

Clyde loved woodworking and could fix anything around the house. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and learning to play guitar. He was a flirt with an outstanding sarcastic sense of humor. Clyde was a Christian devoted to his wife, children, and grandchildren. He will be missed deeply by his family and friends.
