A wonderful and loving woman, Concetta Farago, left to be among the angels on December 20, 2017 with her loving family by her side. Connie was an extraordinary individual of strength and courage who touched the lives of many and made a difference in the lives of all who were close to her. A woman of character and integrity with a big heart and sweet soul, Connie’s life was centered around her love and devotion to family and friends and her care and giving to others. She met both challenge and tragedy with hope and optimism and the unwavering expectation of good. Connie’s journey began in her native Brooklyn, where at age 5 she became the first in medical journals to survive surgery for a malfunctioning lung. That resilience would continue throughout her life as she progressed through New York schools into a long career in administration. Connie followed the example of her older sister and moved to California several decades ago to begin a new life filled with new friends, new routine and new adventure. As a dedicated mother, wife and professional, she made the transition from New Yorker to California gal with enthusiasm and grace, filling her life with new dimensions and dynamics but maintaining her authentic, straightforward style. As the experience of life took Connie into her final chapters, she became more of a risk-taker seeking new encounters, cruising the Mediterranean with her new love. Her willpower, passion for life and desire to be a good person were traits that Connie always carried with her and were characteristics of her personality that never subsided. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered by those who knew her and loved her. Connie was preceded in death by her beloved son Michael and beloved husband Richard. She leaves to cherished memories her daughter Laura Farago, sister Maria Heffernan and nephew Dan Heffernan. She also is survived by her companion Jim Manzer, son-in-law Craig Massei, brother-in-law Jim Heffernan and other extended family and true friends.

P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Farago family. Mass will be on Thursday December 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. held at the Cathedral of the Annunciation 425 W Magnolia St, Stockton, Ca. She will be laid to rest at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, Stockton, Ca. An online obituary is available for condolences to the family at www.plfryandson.com
