Corey Robert Daniel Mootz was born in Walla Walla, Washington on March 7, 1989. Corey entered into rest from complications related to his fight with diabetes on April 23, 2018. Corey is survived by his loving parents; Jim and Michele Mootz, brothers; Ryan and Jimmy Mootz, grandparents; Ramona Smith, Bob and Jan Smith and Ann Mootz. In addition Corey is survived by his loving and supportive aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members who loved him dearly.
Corey attended Nile Garden and graduated from Sierra High School in 2008 where excelled in academics and football. After high school Corey went on to attend Menlo College and later graduated from Mesa College in San Diego, California. Corey was an extremely optimistic young man who was highly motivated & enthusiastic about his future. Most recently, Corey endeavored into the real-estate industry as a mortgage broker where he was well respected and loved by his clients and colleagues. In his spare time Corey was into fitness, reading, golfing, Warriors basketball and spending time with family and friends. Corey’s infectious smile and fun loving personality will forever be missed.
