David Acuna Cerna, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on November 2, 2023, in Stockton, California at the age of 73. Born in Chilchota, Michoacan, Mexico on September 12, 1950, resident of Lathrop for 27 years and a devoted husband to Amelia for 42 years.
David is survived by his mother Hermelinda, his five children Alejandra Murillo, Susana Acuna, Jesus Acuna, David Acuna, and Maria Guadalupe, and his siblings Flora, Lordes, Maria, Refugio, Carmen, Hermelinda, Juan, Manual, Martin, and Alejandro. He also leaves behind a rich legacy through his grandchildren Aiolos, Castial, Ariadne, Moses, Mariana, Lorenzo, Larry, Leonardo, Rosa, Ornelas, Lorina, and Natalia.
Known for his easy-going personality, David had a deep love for soccer from his younger years. He also enjoyed watching TV and was a gifted guitar player, reflecting his passion for music. His mechanical skills were admired by many, and he was remembered for his enthusiasm in bike marathons in his youth.
David will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic and his unconditional love for his family. He will be deeply missed.
