Debra Leija

Debbie was born on July 27, 1954 and went home to be with the Lord on November 10, 2018. She was welcomed into Heaven  by her father, Leroy Grohman, mother, Joan Grohman, sister, Elaine Small and beloved dog, Missy.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Rudy Leija of 33 years, and precious dog, BeBe, her daughter, Kelly Jo Armendariz, son-in-law, Abel Armendariz Sr, son, George McKelvie, daughter-in-law, Cherie McKelvie, son, Carlos Leija, and future daughter-in-law, Barbara Nigro. She was extremely loved by her seven grandchildren; Abel Armendariz Jr, Alexander James Armendariz, Alexandria Michelle McKelvie, Brianna Grace McKelvie, Caleb James McKelvie, Carlos Leija Jr, and Ramona Leija.

Debbie was the oldest of her siblings and will be missed by her brother, Jack Grohman, sister-in-law, Pauline Grohman, sister, Janet Martin, brother-in-law, Dan Martin, brother, Glen Grohman, and sister-in-law,  Joanna Grohman. She also was loved by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Debbie was an amazing woman who loved her family and friends. The last few years, she battled many health problems and recently discovered she had stage four liver disease.  She was so strong and did not give up the fight. Finally, her little body could not fight anymore. The Lord saw her suffering, her tiredness, and just said that was enough. So, he put his arms around her, healed her pain and had her come with Him. Debbie found peace with the Lord, her Savior and now she is celebrating in Heaven with her loved ones.

Debbie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She would do anything for her family. Give the last dollar she had or the shirt off her back if needed. Her family meant the world to her and she loved to spend every moment with them. She will be remembered with love and adoration by all of her family.

Debbie was a vibrant, strong, and beautiful woman who will be dearly missed!
