July 25, 1955 ~ July 21, 2020 (age 64)

Tribute

Donna L. Ruhl of Manteca, Ca. passed away in her home on Tuesday July 21st 2020. She was 64 years old.

Donna is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Craig Ruhl, her mother, Patricia Ann Earl, her daughter, Kristi Zamora (Ernesto), son Nick Austin (Michele), her five beautiful grandchildren; Emily, Jared, Logan, Luke and Joey, her sister, Carol Sikes and her brother, Michael Earl. She was proceeded in death by her father, Richard Earl.

Donna was born in Taft, Ca. on July 25 1955 and was a long time resident of Fremont, Ca. where she married and raised her family before retiring and moving to Manteca, Ca. Donna owned and operated a home daycare for many years where she had the honor and privilege of caring for many children that became like family to her. She loved them all dearly, but there were some that she held in her heart until the end and kept in touch with through the years. She always held Katie, Megan, Ryan and Dylan especially dear and we are so thankful for the happy memories you all brought her over the years, even after she retired.

Donna was a devoted wife, mother and Nana. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her family. She had the honor of watching her children become parents themselves and loved being a Nana. You always could count on her to make every holiday special and be there for all special occasions. Donna would NEVER miss a school program, a sports game, promotion ceremony or birthday party for her children and grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy. Donna always made sure that her home was the home where the kids could come, rather it was her children and their friends or later in life her grandchildren, they always knew they had a home away from home and someone to love them deeply. Donna was married for 30 years and you could always find her and her husband together as they were never just husband and wife, but best friends.

Donna believed in Jesus, she had a deep rooted faith that had been instilled in her since childhood. She always knew this life was not the end, but that something better was waiting for her in heaven. When she passed away Tuesday we all commented that we could almost see a smile on her face. We know she was at peace and happy with what she saw waiting for her as she left this world for the next. She fought like a warrior these last three months before joining her heavenly Father. She will be missed dearly and her memory will be carried in our hearts forever.

Due to the current Covid situation a celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date when it is safe for all who would want to join us.
