Emma Hunt

Emma Hunt, 32, a victim of Homicide, passed away in San Francisco, California on January 5, 2020. Emma is survived by her parents William Hunt and Sherree and David DeYoe; her children Khamani and Angelika; siblings Paul (Rachelle) Hunt of Utah, Laura Wilkinson of Manteca, Dwayne Hunt of Stockton, Mary Hunt of Bradenton, Florida, Zackary Hunt of Stockton, Abigail DeYoe, Samantha DeYoe and Nyah DeYoe of Stockton.  

Emma was adopted from Ethiopia at the age of 7 and came to the United States with her baby sister, Mary. While living in Ethiopia, Emma took on the mother role to her sister after the passing of her biological parents. Emma did not speak English when she came to the US but with the help of her parents and siblings and many games of charades, she blossomed. Emma was a bright child and quick witted. She loved to read and play chess. She loved her family deeply and will be greatly missed.
