Evangeline Milligan, 65, entered into rest on August 23, 2021 in Manteca, CA. She was born December 6, 1955 in Pleasanton, CA to Juan and Irene Gonzales.

Eva says goodnight to her loving husband of almost 38 years, Steve Milligan of Manteca and Lexington, MA, as well as her adored daughters Victoria Irene Rubenhold and husband Travis of Visalia and Theresa Doreen Milligan USAF of Tucson, AZ. She says goodnight to her father Juan Gonzalez of Fremont, CA. Eva was blessed with two grandchildren, Leviticus age 4 and Harper 2 months who are the apple of her eye! In addition, Eva has surviving sibling Rick Gonzales and wife Gina and their daughter Reese.

Evangeline was a Manteca resident for the past 10 years. She was raised in Fremont and attended Mission San Jose High School. She would later meet the love of her life and together they would raise their incredible daughters in Visalia, CA.

 After making home in Manteca, Evangeline worked for Manteca Police Department as a Police Facility Aid and volunteered with the Manteca Sharps. She enjoyed being out in the community and assisting the Police and the people of Manteca.

When not volunteering Eva loved spending time in her garden. She took so much care and pride of her many varieties of succulents in her garden.

She was so artistic, she was always working on some type of arts and crafts. She loved shopping and she had the most beautiful bubbly personality. She loved making memories with her daughters, as she would often jump up and start dancing when she would hear her favorite song playing. She was so proud of her daughters many accomplishments. Eva had a smile that would light up a room. She brought so much joy to so many. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and most of all friend! She will be deeply missed.

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
