Frank Ferreira Machado

Frank Ferreira Machado passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on June 28th, 2018. A kind, honorable, generous, and loving man, Frank was a beloved husband of 62 years, a wonderful father, grandfather and uncle as well as a true friend to many. The world was a better place with him in it. He will stay in our hearts forever. 

Frank was born in Roberts Island (Stockton, CA)  on December 3rd, 1930, to Joe F. & Frances G. Machado, originally of Feteira on Terceira Island in the Azores. Frank was the much beloved husband of Arlene (Lima), and father of Frank Jr., Kathleen (Brian) Garcia, Aaron, and grandfather to Brittany, Alexis and Robert. He was preceded in death by his parents, and older brothers Joe F. and Anthony (Tony) G. Machado.

Frank was a proud life-long farmer, rancher and dairyman, originally with Joe Machado and Sons, then Machado Brothers Dairy, and most recently with wife Arlene and son Frank Jr. at Box 2 Ranch. He was active in running Box 2 Ranch until only a couple weeks before his passing. Frank was past President of the MRPS. 

The family wishes to thank the wonderful care-givers who showed such compassionate care to Frank, and the entire family, over the last few weeks.

P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Machado family. Visitation will be on Monday July 9, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. held at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca, Ca. Services will be held on Tuesday, July 10th beginning with the Rosary at PL Fry & Son Chapel at 9:00AM, followed by Mass at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church 525 E. North Street Manteca, Ca. at 11:00 AM. Entombment will take place at St. John’s Cemetery 17871 S. Carrolton Rd. Escalon, Ca. There will be a celebration of Frank’s life at the MRPS Banquet Hall on Grant Ave in Manteca at 1:30PM.
