Gilbert Gonzales

Gilbert Gonzales, 53, entered into rest surrounded by his loving family on September 23, 2019 in Modesto. He was born April 25, 1966 to Alvino and Esther Gonzales in Visalia, CA.

Gilbert leaves behind his children, Carmen, Catrina, Elena, Gilbert, and Ruby Gonzales. Gilbert was blessed with four grandchildren that he adored, Angel Vierra, Jaylene Cano, Joseph Chavez and Gia Gonzales. In addition, he has three surviving siblings, Irene, Ana and Margaret and many nieces and nephews that loved their uncle dearly.

Gilbert was a San Jose native before making a home in Manteca. He attended elementary schools in San Jose and graduated from Mount Pleasant High School. He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing or watching a Raider football game. Gilbert was the life of the party and looked forward to making any occasion an event. From holidays to weekend barbeques he was welcoming and made lasting memories. As his family would go on to say he loved to joke around and you had better leave your feelings aside; there was no time for sadness at his house! He loved unconditionally and kept everyone close to his heart.  His children were his life and loved each one in their own special way.   Gilbert will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend.

P.L. Fry and Son is honored to serve the Gonzales family. A Celebration of his life will be held in his honor on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at P.L. Fry and Son, 290 North Union Road, Manteca, CA.
