Herman Silveira

Herman Louis Silveira, 97, entered into rest on January 11, 2019 at his home in Manteca. He was born in Manteca on December 31, 1920 to the late Clyde and Mary Silveira. In heaven Herman joins his wife of 63 years Rosemary, his son James and granddaughter Breanna.  

He leaves behind his children; Dwayne Silveira and wife Connie of Manteca, Christine Mitchell of Florida and Jeffery Silveira and wife Hope of Georgia.     

Herman was blessed with 13 grandchildren, Angela and husband Aaron, Michael, Amber and husband Jared, Suzanne, Adam and wife Michelle, Christopher and wife Brenda, Jake and wife Natalie, William, Jeff Jr., Tyler, Dustin and wife Kristin and Dalton and wife Amber. In addition he has 15 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Herman was a lifetime Manteca resident. He was a dairy owner and worked for Manteca Unified School District and retired as superintendent of maintenance in 1984.  He served his country proudly through the United States Army.  He was a faithful Catholic and held his religion close to his heart. Herman enjoyed spending time outdoors; traveling, fishing and gardening.  Herman loved watching a good game of football or baseball and always cheered on his favorite teams the Giants and 49ers. He enjoyed the time spent with family and loved them all unconditionally. He will be remembered as a loving husband, amazing father and special grandfather. He will be deeply missed.  

P.L. Fry is honored to serve the Silveira family. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at St. Patrick’s Catholic  Church at 11:00am , 19399 E. HWY 120, Ripon, CA.
