Janet was so loving, thoughtful and helpful, and a friend to anyone who entered a room. She leaves behind an awesome family who will have to carry the torch, which they will do brilliantly. Much love to you all.

Rest in peace my dear friend. You were truly an amazing woman that gave so freely of yourself to everyone you met. I admired you for so many reasons... your compassion, your perseverance, your passion for your family, friends, co-workers and community. Our lives entertwined in so many ways from when Ashley was first born, being co-workers and eventually our union days. You were so much fun to travel with.., my roomate... 😊 Mama Janet. One of my fondest memories was when we spontaneously decided to go to Disneyland on one of our short trips to LA... you hadn't been in years and were tickled to be there! You were like a little kid!! Your beautiful smile was limitless that day!! We had so much fun! That is one of the fond memories that I will hold in my heart forever. I'm thankful you're not suffering any longer. Amy, Angela and Ashley, thank you for sharing your mama with all of us!

I am so very sorry to hear of Janet's passing. We were neighbors of the wonderful Vaughn family when they first moved here from Iowa. My brother became best friends with Donnie at that time. I hung out with them at the Vaughn home many times. Janet later would carpool with my mom to Sharpe Depot. I loved seeing Janet while she worked at the hospital. She was a sweetheart with a sweet soul. She loved her children and grandchildren very much. They were her life! I'm so very sorry for your loss and hope God Blesses the family with love and peace...Rest in peace, sweet Janet. (I didn't know Donnie had passed...may he RIP also...) xox

Amy, Angela and Ashley, I was really sorry to hear that Janet lost her battle. She called me from Stanford on April 30, before she came back to Manteca. We had a nice long visit over the phone, discussing our "cancer issues." I met her the day she started working at Doctors Hospital of Manteca. I remember you three as little girls! She was quite a woman!! She will be missed . . . I'm sorry that I will be out of town and unable to attend the services. Please accept my sincere sympathy, Mary Kokoris
