John Marshall Palmer

On the morning of March 3rd, 2018, John Alvis Marshall Palmer entered the kingdom of heaven at 56 years young. He is survived by his brothers, Charles, Nolan, Chuck and his sister Patty Holcomb. Marshall also leaves behind his wife of 10 years, Kat Palmer, three step children and his 8 beloved grandchildren, Angelo, Nicole, Mylesia, Julian, Peter, Laelah, Noah and Robert. Marshall was honored to be part of a patriotic family with many members serving across most of the Armed forces and was a veteran himself after serving in the National Guard during his younger years. Marshall enjoyed working with his hands and was called upon often by family and friends to help with various projects. He was never one to say no, he would do everything he could to help those who asked, often thought of as having a heart of gold. It wasn’t often that you would see him idle, he always had to be doing something. Marshall married later in life and was blessed with his stepchildren who instantly made him a grandpa. It was this time in his life that he became the most blessed. He was one of the most dedicated grandpa’s, attending soccer, baseball, and basketball games, if there was a karate tournament he was there, every recital, birthday or holiday he was there celebrating his grandchildren, beaming the whole entire time. He was a devoted brother, uncle, grandpa, and husband. Although he is sitting beside the King of Kings there will forever be an empty space in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
