Karen Lynn O'Neill

August 5, 1958 ~ April 27, 2019 (age 60)

Karen Lynn O’Neill passed away peacefully her Kevin’s arms at home on Saturday April 27th. She fought a tremendous battle with Colon Cancer for 29 months. Karen is survived by her adoring husband Kevin (married 39 years), her son’s Tim, Casey, Casey’s wife Amanda, Bryan, Brady and Scott. Karen raised her boys to be good men; she took great pride in teaching them all the life skills needed to live a joyous life. She leaves behind 4 Grandchildren all of whom filled her life with such joy and passion; Jacob – 12, Kiley -11, Benny-7, and Ziggy-5. Karen loved being a grandmother, she passed on her passion for Reading, Baking, and for making every occasion and Holiday as filled with love and O’Neill family traditions as possible. Karen was born August 5, 1958 to Barbara and Gary Gomez both of whom preceded her in death. Their reunion in heaven was surely a glorious event. Karen had 4 sisters all of whom she loved from the bottom of her heart. Kathy, Kelly (Tom), Kippy (Brad), and Kory (Marco).  The 5 K’s lead a family of over 60 people, all of whom adored their Aunt Karen. Karen’s relationships ran deep, none more important to her than her best friend Joynce. Together, they shared so many memories including trips to Hawaii, Montana California Beaches, and so many more. She was also adored by the O’Neill family of over 50 people. Karen loved Harry Potter movies, the Sci-fi Channel, anything with Zombies or Aliens in them, all the Cooking shows, and the Oakland A’s! She was a vociferous reader, finishing novels in a night. Her passion for debate was infamous to those who braved into those conversations with her, Kevin had no chance. She was horrible with directions, loved to cook Sunday dinners, made “World Class desserts”, loved to travel, and could solve almost every kid problem with just a few wise words. Karen loved to be “On Vacation” from the first minute to the last; she was up for almost anything. Karen left a mark on so many of her family and friends; she will be remembered forever by those she loved.

PL Fry of Manteca will be handling all arrangements.  A celebration of her life will be held at Crossroads Grace Community Church, Friday May 31 at 10AM. A reception will follow at the Chez Shari's - Manteca Golf Course restaurant.  Kevin wishes to invite all of you to come for food and fellowship.
