Larry Johnson passed away on July 26, 2020 in Manteca, California surrounded by his wife of 59 years, Jeanne, and his children Tonja (Brady) Mast of Goleta, Darren (Carolyn) Johnson of Fresno, Wendy Brown of Manteca and Kevin Johnson of Manteca. He was blessed with 4 grandchildren: Gunnar, Camilla, Bronson and Solana. He is preceded in death by his siblings Bernita, Don, Denny, Janice and Karen.
Larry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Castle Air Force Base. Upon completion of his military service, he worked at the Sharp Army Depot. His hobbies included bowling, going to casinos with his wife and playing board games like Scrabble where things sometimes got competitive. He loved 50’s music, classic cars, and anything that flew. He had a brief brush with fame where he was an extra in an old Disney produced western called “Westward Ho The Wagons!” He was described as a “cool cat” and the strong silent type. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed.
