March 8, 1939 ~ May 12, 2021 (age 82) 82 Years Old

Tribute

Lawrence (Larry) Albers passed away on May 12, 2021, at the age of 82. Larry was born and raised in Modesto, CA and moved to Manteca in the early 1970s. He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Jeanne, and four children: Larry (Patti) Elliott of Manteca, Larry (Brandi) Albers, Jr. of Idaho, Joy Huffman of Lockeford, and Jeff (Julie) Albers of Manteca. He was blessed with 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Larry is survived by four sisters, Fern, Evelyn, Dorothy, and Mary, as well as his only brother, Bill. He recently was preceded in death by his sister, Joanie.

Larry was a successful business owner and an extremely hard worker. He would work all day at his concrete construction company then come home and spend countless hours tending to his garden, where he grew vegetables and beautiful flowers. For years, he loved serving his loyal customers, and the community, at his local fruit stand. Larry was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time with his friends and his sons hunting in various locations. He and Jeanne loved going out dancing on Friday nights and spending quality time together. He was a huge animal lover, and even bottle fed two of his current cats, Angel and Bootsie. He enjoyed taking another one of his favorite cats with him on outings. He was extremely generous with his time and loved to share his beautiful flowers with family and friends.

Larry will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and as a gentle, caring man who was always looking to help someone out in their time of need.
