Larry was born in Stockton, CA to William and Emilie on October 3, 1922.
Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army where he fought in WWII and was awarded a purple heart. Upon returning from war, he married his first wife, Patricia Murdock and they had six children, Dennis, Michael, Mark, Pamela, Bradley and Rodger. In 1962 he met Shirley Circosta. Larry and Shirley were married in 1963 and he lovingly welcomed her two daughters, Debra and Pamela, into his heart. He worked as a General Warehouse Foreman for the Tracy Defense Depot for over 30 years. He was very involved in church, serving on the board at Northside Assembly in Tracy, CA. After he retired, he volunteered for the S.T.A.R.S program for 13 years and was a current member of Cornerstone Community Church in Manteca, CA. Larry loved to play cards and had a way of making you laugh without even realizing he was being funny. He was very devoted to his wife and very large family, he loved them with all his heart.
He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Shirley Massone, sons Dennis Massone (Linda), Mark Massone (Renee), Bradley Massone (Janice) and Roger Massone (Karen), his daughters Pamela Cowles and Pamela Green (Tim), and his many grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Massone and Emilie Pearce, his son Michael Stacy Massone and his daughter Debra Jean Trujillo.
A viewing will be held from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2019 at P.L. Fry and Son, 290 N. Union Rd., in Manteca, and a celebration of life will be taking place at 1:00 p.m. on August 3, 2019 at Cornerstone Community Church, 17900 Comconex Rd., in Manteca.
