Leonore Sanchez was born on May 3, 1933 in Holt, California. She peacefully passed away on October 8, 2020 in Salida, California and joins her husband of 56 years, John Sanchez, in Heaven. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Ann, and her siblings: Margaret Spangenberg, Mary Gillig, Laura Barrett and Jean Nobles. She leaves behind her daughter, Susan (Clay) Pierce, Brenda (Thomas) Gerbing of Jamestown and John Sanchez of Salida. She was blessed with nine grandchildren: Michael Parra, Joseph Hernandez, Nicole Adams, Joshua Pierce, Amy Young, Sara Torres, AnMari Sanchez, Dezirae Sanchez and Johnny Sanchez. She leaves behind 22 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Leonore graduated from Manteca High School in 1951. She then went on to work as a secretary for New Haven Unified School District for 34 years. She was a long time member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.  She loved dining with her sisters, slot machines and shopping.

Due to Covid-19, masks are required at the rosary and the Funeral Mass. Further, due to the pandemic, there will not be a reception held at this time.
