Lucille Gurule, 88, better known as “Lulu”, “Gramma Lulu” and “Mom” passed away on October 19, 2021 in Lathrop, California. She leaves behind her loving family that includes her devoted children Michael Gurule of Lathrop, Tami (John) Foreman of Tracy and Timothy (Lisa) Gurule of Carmichael. She was blessed with four beautiful granddaughters: Sabrina (David) Ramos-Propes of Manteca, Veronica Ramos of Tracy, Melissa Talamantes of Manteca and Toni Gurule of Sacramento. She is also survived by her cherished eight great-grandchildren: Danielle, Doniven, Damien, Camille, Cameron, Gabriella, Gabriel and Ariah. She will be missed greatly by her best friend and loving sister Marie Alvarado and her numerous nieces and nephews.
Lulu began her career as a medical transcriber after graduating high school in Trinidad, Colorado and retired after nearly 50 years. When her children were growing up she often worked a second job from home. In her free time she enjoyed reading books, doing wordsearch puzzles, gardening, taking many pictures of her grandbabies, traveling and going on cruises with family. She would also enjoy playing the machinitas at the casino. Her very best days, however, were spent with her family. She was an extremely devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Family was everything to her and she cherished the days spent with them. Her family was so thankful they were blessed with Grandma Lulu for so many years and will cherish those memories forever.
