Lucille Silva

Lucille Silva was born at home on October 10, 1923 in Crows Landing, California to the late John and Ida Enos.  In 1942 she married her husband of 47 years, the late William Silva. Together they had two daughters, Linda (Tom) Kukesh of Ripon, California and the late Kathy Maliepaard. She is survived by her grandsons: Steven (Natalie) Kukesh of Ripon, David (Jessica) Kukesh of Sacramento, Todd (Irene) Maliepaard of Ripon and Mark (Jessica) Maliepaard of Ripon. Lucille was blessed with nine great-grandchildren: Ella, Piper, Harlow, Calvin, Jack, Katelynn, Percy, Adelynn and Claire.

Lucille was a long time member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Manteca. She spent many years working on the family dairy and later went on to work as a bank teller for over 15 years. In her spare time she enjoyed doing Sudoku puzzles, playing cards and puzzles. In William and her younger years, they enjoyed going on RV adventures and boating.  She enjoyed volunteering at Bread of Life food donations and was a member of Doctors Hospital Manteca Auxiliary for many years. She also was a member of the Italian Catholic Federation.

Lucille was a kind and caring woman. She was quiet and never worried about things she couldn’t control. She was a hardworking and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed.

P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the Silva Family. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 1st from 2pm to 6pm with a rosary beginning at 6pm. A Funeral Mass will occur at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 E. North Street, Manteca, California on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 11am. Burial will follow at St. John’s Catholic Church.
