Luis Contreras

Luis Contreras Jr., 80, entered into rest on May 30, 2022, in Stockton, CA. He was born in San Francisco on November 24, 1941, to the late Luis and Elizabeth Contreras.

Luis leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years Mary Contreras of Lathrop. He also leaves behind his children: Sheri Contreras of Lower Lake; Dawn Contreras of Lathrop; Daniel Contreras (Lynnae) of Vacaville; Jennifer Contreras Bamberger (Gary) of Tracy; and Gabriel Contreras (Bethany) of San Jose. Luis was blessed with eleven grandchildren: Jessica, Ricky, Thomas, Kirsten, Nathaniel, Samantha, Xavier, Rafael, Christian, Logan, and Unique. In addition, he was blessed with five great grandchildren: Mayson, Maia, Marci, Jordan, and Paisley.

Luis was a San Francisco native. He worked in the computer tech industry for many years, working for Unisys Corporation in San Jose, and would later retire from Stone Brothers in Stockton as an HVAC technician. Luis loved his family dearly. He looked forward to his grandchildren’s visits and watching a great soccer game. Luis also loved working in his garden and spending time outdoors. He was a quiet man, but always had such a loving heart. Luis will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

P.L. Fry and Son is honored to serve the Contreras family. A family viewing will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca, California.
