Lydia De La Cerda, 66, met her heavenly father on June 15, 2022 in Manteca, Ca. She was born on September 11, 1955 in New Albany, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her sister Veta Bobbit and her parents Ronald and Rosemary Bobbit Sr. She was a Manteca resident for over 33 years.
Lydia is survived by her husband Adam De La Cerda Jr., children Elaine Contreras (Francisco), Adam De La Cerda (Christina) and Jason De La Cerda (Melanie). She was blessed by six grandchildren Amina, Emma, Catalina, Samantha, Bryan and Adam IV. She adored her nieces and nephews; Angelina, Jose, Sandra, David Jr., Darla, Karlina, Amber,Percsilla, Anissa, Russell Jr., Nevaeh, Dwayne, Ethan, Johnathan, Maricella, Isaiah and Israel. In addition, Lydia is survived by two brothers David Sr. and Ronald Jr. Bobbitt.
A kind and caring gentle soul, Lydia worked as a CNA and in Home Health Care for over 38 years. She was a member of the Tabernacle of Praise of Manteca and was a past member of the San Jose Moose Lodge. She was a self-proclaimed sweets connoisseur; she enjoyed binge watching the Game of Thrones, visiting her fur-grandbabies “Bonnie and Roxie” and spending time with her little best friend (her nephew) Xander. Above all, Lydia’s heart was always full when spending time with her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews; family was always number one, she loved each of them unconditionally. Lydia will be remembered for her generous heart and her funny sense of humor. She will be missed by all who loved and cared for her.
