Marlyn Rahnee Cooper, a  resident of Manteca, passed away on February 6, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion. Born on January 26, 1959, in Oakland, California, Marlyn called the Bay Area her home before residing in Manteca for the past eight years. She is survived by her loving husband Michael, children daughter, Ashley Cook, as well as her stepchildren Mikeyah Dixon, Jacoby Dixon, and Michael Cooper, Jr. Marlyn was also a devoted grandmother to seven grandchildren - Ja'lonnoi, Zianah, Zamari, Jacari, Anglic, Romello, and Mikayla. Additionally, she is survived by her three siblings, Frederick Burt, and Linda.

Marlyn found fulfillment in her career as a child counselor assistant and caregiver, where she touched the lives of many with her kindness and nurturing nature. A member of Faith Baptist in Oakland, Marlyn's faith was an integral part of her life. She had an innate passion for cooking, constantly experimenting with new recipes and creating her own. Known for her love of hosting gatherings, she took great joy in entertaining others and was particularly fond of interior design. In her leisure time, Marlyn found solace in scrapbooking and indulging in the simple pleasures of shopping and window shopping.

Those who knew Marlyn remember her as sweet, charming, and ever-considerate, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her quiet strength and unwavering willingness to help made her a beloved figure in the lives of many. Marlyn  will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
