Mary Jessie Cuevas was born in French Camp, California on August 25, 1938 to the union of Joseph and Clara Rivera. She was called home to eternal rest on April 20, 2021 surrounded by family and loved ones. Mary grew up in Isleton, California with her 6 siblings. She later on married her husband Ramon Cuevas of 67 years. Mary then became a devoted and loving mother to her 5 children Raymond (Candace) Cuevas of Santa Rosa California Arturo (Angelee) Cuevas of Fremont California, Leticia Martinez of Fremont California, Dorothy (Andy) Medrano of Reno, Nevada and Josephine Cuevas of Fremont California. Followed by her 14 grandchildren, 27 great- grandchildren and dog “Sunny” that she loved with all her heart. Mary was well known for her big heart and “OPEN DOOR” policy to all those who crossed her path. Everyone knew when they walked into her home there would be a delicious hot meal on the stove for anyone to enjoy. She loved being the neighborhood babysitter, cooking, watching telenovelas but most importantly caring for her grandkids and great grandkids. Mary always said,
“My family is what keeps me going.” She was and forever will be the strength of her family.
