Marylou Collins

Marylou Moore Collins, 89, entered into rest November 24, 2020 in Manteca. She was born May 26, 1931 in Manteca, to the late Herschel Wesley and Effie May Moore .

Marylou leaves behind her son Brian Collins and his wife Tiare Collins of Boulder Creek, her grandchildren; Sawyer Collins, Benjamin Burke, and Maya Jackson. In addition she has five great grandchildren; Conner, Cameron, Bodevini, Gracie, and Charlotte.

Marylou was a lifetime resident of Manteca. She graduated form Manteca High School and University of the Pacific. Marylou resided in Orinda and Half Moon Bay while teaching in Pacifica at Terra Nova High School as a Fine Arts teacher. She had a passion for the arts, classical music, and adored animals.

Marylou was far beyond her years at an early age. She was strong willed, resilient to adversity, and never failed to speak her mind. She loved her son unconditionally, and held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

She will be remembered as a strong-willed, independent, and loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed.

P.L. Fry and Son is honored to serve Marylou’s family.  Services for Marylou are scheduled for June 22, 2021, where she will be laid to rest alongside her mother at East Union Cemetery.
