Born in Buffalo on July 10, 1955, Michele M. Day, 66, entered into rest on June 20, 2022 in Manteca, Ca. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Marie Murphy and her brother Tom Murphy.

Mrs. Day is survived by her loving family; husband John Day, children Michael Day (Julie), Lanette Trickey (Tim) and Jennifer Wright (the late Chad Wright). She was blessed by nine grandchildren Lucca, Giana, Tommy, Abigail, Haylie, Joseph, Miguel, Andrew and Danielle. In addition, Michele is survived by three brothers Jack, Mark and Tim Murphy.

Michele worked for the government for over 27 years as an Auditor. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and the Manteca Moose Lodge. She enjoyed camping, traveling with friends, and attending special events. An especially memorable trip was the month spent in Europe meeting John’s family in the Netherlands, along with visiting beautiful churches and countryside. During her lifetime, Michele made a point to build relationships with both family and friends, cherishing the special memories she made along the way. Above all, Michele’s whole world revolved around her family, her grandchildren were her world; she loved them unconditionally. She will be remembered for her sweet spirit, her easy-going character and her kind heart. She will be missed by all who knew and cared for her.

P.L. Fry and Son is honored to be serving the Day family. A visitation will be on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 11:30 AM followed by a Memorial at 1:30 PM both held at P.L. Fry and Son Chapel 290 N.
