Noreen Thomson

Noreen Iris Thomson, 77, entered into rest on December 30, 2021 in Modesto, CA. She was born February 10, 1944 in Nebraska to the late Henry and Viola Huebert. Noreen joins her husband Delbert Leslie Thomson in heaven. 

She leaves behind her son, Bradley Thomson and wife Danita of Modesto, and two grandchildren Liam and Elizabeth Thomson. In addition she has five surviving siblings, Ramona Condon,  Diane Fulton, Devon Huebert, Rita Petersen, and Michael Huebert. 

Noreen was a longtime Manteca resident, falling in love with California after graduation from high school. She retired from H.J. Heinz after 29 years of service, first working into the position of a Field Representative, then a Seed Sales Manager in the Agriculture Department. She enjoyed a second career of 8 years working at San Joaquin General Hospital. She was a faithful member of Calvary Community Church, where she was a part of several ministries. She looked forward to her weekly bible study group and volunteering in the daycare at church on Sundays.  Noreen also treasured getting together for luncheons and traveling with her friends.   She volunteered for the American Cancer Society and was an active supporter of the VFW Veterans Center of Manteca. Noreen kept busy, always helping someone in need. The most important things to her were her family, friends, and faith. She loved her son dearly and her grandchildren were the apple of her eye. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed.  

P.L. Fry and Son is honored to serve the Thomson family. Donations can be made in Noreen's name, in lieu of flowers to American Cancer Society.  Services and Celebration of Life will be held at the Calvary Community Church in Manteca on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 11:00am.
