Tribute

Born on August 24, 1944, Richard “Dick” Joseph Blake passed away peacefully on January 22, 2019 in Stockton, California. Richard leaves behind his wife Vivian, of 18 years; two son’s Rick Blake (Denise) and Scott Blake (Lisa) and three stepchildren, Tim DeBrito (Joe), David DeBrito (Heather) and Shelley Dorland (Jeremy). He was blessed with 13 grandchildren: Katie, R.J, Nicole and Johnny, Brandon, Sabrina, Andrew, Jared, Clayton, Kyle, Gino, Lucca and Brooke; as well as 5 great grandchildren.

Richard was a resident of Manteca for the past 14 years and previously of El Dorado Hills. He was an active member of the Plumbers/Pipefitters/HVAC  UA Local 393 for 50 years. Richard was an avid Giants and 49er fan. He enjoyed a challenging game of darts, reading and sharing the morning newspaper especially the comics, backyard BBQing, and making waffles and biscuits and gravy. He took pride in keeping his yard looking immaculate, and playing with his dog Corina. He loved taking drives with his wife to visit his children in El Dorado and visiting local casinos on the way. He will be remembered for his passion of sports, especially for the San Francisco GIANTS, and the 49ers, and for his love for his family.

A celebration of life will be held at the Del Webb club house on Sunday, February 10,  2019 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Cure for PSP (Progressive Superneuclear Palsy)1216 Broadway 2nd Floor NY, NY 10001   www.psp.org
