Richard Frank Limas

Richard Frank Limas, passed away on October 4, 2020 at the age of 84. In Heaven he joins his late wife of 28 years, Frances. Richard is survived by his 4 daughters, Julie (Bernie) Garza of Manteca, Cathy (Joseph) Grijalva of Stockton, Sheilah (Manuel) Goulart of Manteca and Shelly Ott also of Manteca. He was blessed with 9 grandchildren: Bernie (Nicole) Garza, Jr. of San Diego, Mark Anthony Garza of San Jose, Sarah Ann Garza of Manteca, Erica (A.J.) Flowers of Stockton, Joseph Richard Grijalva of Stockton, Jeremy (Darcy) Goulart of Lodi, Anthony Goulart of San Ramon, Michael (Carina) Ott of Tulare and Micele Ott of Oregon. He adored his five great-grandchildren: Ava, Samuel, Lucas, Andrew and Aaron.  Richard was the 15th of 16th siblings and leaves behind his one surviving brother, Alfonso.

Richard proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1954-1959. He was a lifelong member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Upon his retirement from the pipeline manufacturing industry, he enjoyed traveling to as many places as he could. He would just get in the car and go! He enjoyed woodworking and had the most amazing “green thumb.” Richard was a huge Manteca Buffalo football fan and could be found cheering on the Buffs with his brothers and other alumni on Friday nights. The highlight of his week would be to attend Sunday Mass and then proceed to Johnny’s for breakfast with his family and friends. He will be missed by his family and friends.
